Military Plane Accidents
Military aircraft accidents are governed by a different set of rules than commercial and general aviation. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has jurisdiction over civil air crashes and, typically, a Military Safety Mishap Board has jurisdiction over military plane crashes. Additionally, certain military aircraft crash cases are barred under the FERES Doctrine. The Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the government is immune from suit for injuries to service personnel. In most instances, the only recourse military families have is to evaluate whether private entities caused or contributed to the accident. Representation of victims in military air crashes requires the ultimate in skill, perseverance and funding to achieve a recovery. Nolan law Group is proud of its military aviation litigation experience and the compensation it has obtained for its clients. Nolan Law Group has the deepest respect for the brave men and women who serve our country and believes that they are entitled to the same level of justice as the civilian population.
